OK there where a MESS of players that were double listed and all over the place, at least two dozen. I went in and cleaned up all the problems on the databases, the website and the simulator files. There should be no double listings now and I have built a spreadsheet of players that I can sort by last name. This makes it easier to check player availability. It's taken several hours but should make things MUCH easier.
From here on we should have no roster conflicts of players on wrong teams and double listed anywhere.

Please note that G, Jakub Kovar should not be playing for the SSM squad. Sorry, but Jakub has not played one game in the 'o' this year--he's in Europe playing. I don't think he is eligible to be playing in this sim league. Sorry for being an ass, just sticking to the rules. Dean OSH p.s. this should increase OSH rivalry with SSM

I will take care of this.
It's coming down to some teams simply aren't stocking enough players to accomodate injuries, suspensions or depth. The bear minimum a team should be running with (players with ratings) is 23. With one extra forward, dman and goalie. Less than that and you aren't manning your teams properly.

I think there will need to be generic farm players created to sub in for some teams. I could make a bunch of 'Farm Players' that have ratings of '40' for all attributes. These players could be used for emergency call-ups - and any GM relying on them would have to make a deal, or resign.

Has there been a decision on free agents that were listed? all the offers were removed and now there are two new offers on one player, are we supposed to re-submit or are they already decided on?

Sorry about not notifying. I did clear the offers BUT I have recorded all of them on a spreadsheet and will assign them this weekend. I didn`t want the website-software to award any players and take them off the list - so I cleared all offers, so all the UFA were still visible to anyone that hasn`t yet bid.
So DON`T resubmit - I`ve got all your bids.

Dean (OSH) submitted this concern......
2008-08-28 17:55:02 Oshawa Generals Casey Cizikas Chris Carrozzi Kyle DeCoste Year 3 - Draft Pick: OSH - Round 4 Year 4 - Draft Pick: OSH - Round 1 to Barrie Colts for: Andrew Clouthier Josh Unice Logan Couture Wayne Simmonds Approved Approved Approved Future Considerations: if simmonds does not play in the ohl for a full season this yr (due to playing in ahl or echl or the like) you agree to return decoste to me as soon as simmonds is confirmed to not returning to the ohl.
Jerry, the previous commish never completed this transaction between OSH and BAR. I trust you will complete the futures even though the new GM is in place.

The future part of this deal is still valid - regardless of the GM change. So DeCoste will be returned to Oshawa as Simmonds is ineligible to play in the OHL.

Wouldn`t matter - Simmonds will not be eligible to ever play in the OHL again.

I think after he players 10 NHL games he can't be sent back - or so I thought.

When junior eligible rookies play more than 10 games with their NHL club, their contract kicks in and in the long term will mean one more year closer to unrestricted free agency, which management won’t want usually. Teams can keep their players up to see how they play and then send them back to juniors before the limit is reached, unless their play is good enough so that they can stick around. Several players who were up for the pre-season and/or played a few regular season games had to be returned to their junior clubs for further development like Jonathan Bernier last year.
And if a team sends a player back to junior after he has played over 10 games, he can only be recalled on emergency basis only.
